Palm Tree Praise

 

Tranquil turquoise ocean, soft sand beach, and warm breeze,

Favorite vacation location, paradise among palm trees.

Memories replay peaceful places such as these.

                                                *

Small shelters made with palm fronds, camping there eight days,

Celebration exclamations!  God’s provisions praised.

Remembering the wilderness, His chosen people saved.

                                                *

Palm branches held in waving hands, and strewn on rocky ground,

Joy-filled crowds, cheering loud, hymns of worship sound;  

 “Save us, we pray!” and “Blessed are you!” as Jesus rode to town. 

                                                *

People, too numerous to count, from every tribe and race,

Wearing holy blood-bought robes, as they behold His face,

Palm branches held victoriously as they proclaim God’s grace.

 

“Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”  Revelation 7:10
